The word is out: Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is excited to confirm that Kylie is coming to Sydney Mardi Gras 2012 to party with us all weekend long!

We are spinning around in excitement to welcome Kylie to Sydney, as she celebrates a career milestone -- 25 years in the music business -- with a community that has shown her plenty of love over the years.

Sydney Mardi Gras is one of the biggest and most popular gay events in the world. For many Australia is located on the other side of the world, but guys keep going back here every few years.

The whole event is spread out over a few weeks. The opening is the Mardi Gras Fair Day.

The main event is the Mardi Gras Parade, which takes place in the evening in the dark. It is summer in Sydney so during the day the temperatures can be very high.

There are several big parties during the whole event. One of the highlights is the Harbour Party. This outdoor party taking place at the Royal Botanic Gardens has a great view over the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.
