places to go, people to meet

Puerto Vallarta Aug 31 - Sep 4 2012

I am traveling with my best friend to Puerto Vallarta in a little over a month. Staying at the abbey. We will be looking for fun things to do. We don't drink much and wonder beside visiting the beach (which we will do) what other activities are there?

Thanks for the great advice. I'm sure we'll give each of those a look. This is my first trip to PV, and I hope to enjoy it as much as so many people have told me they have.

Thanks again. One additional question that occurred to me....it sounds as though a rental car is probably not necessary. Would you agree? If there are some destinations that would require a rental car (and I hope not), any recommendations?
