Comment by david on July 26, 2012 at 11:05 Am headed to GC in September - heard there was a ferry to Morocco - but have not been able to find any info on net - any info would be appreciated.
Comment by Ad on June 14, 2012 at 10:56 Oops....Sorry Tim. Didn't read your profile upfront. I see now that you have been going to GC since 1977, so you probably know your way around ;-)
Comment by Ad on June 14, 2012 at 10:49 In addition to the information provided by janda on airport transfers. I am not sure if you are familiar with PDI or if it's your first time?
Last time I travelled with bus 66 (2 weeks ago) it appeared that a lot (in my case Dutch) people thought PDI was just one bus stop. It isn't. The bus takes a certain route through the town. They didn't have a clue where to get off the bus. I ended up telling everyone which their bus stop was and which direction to take to their hotel ;-)
So if you know your hotel you can figure out which bus stop is yours with Google maps or so, or ask for further help here of course.
You can download the timetable and route for bus 66 here:
http://www.globalsu.net/en/lineas.php
Just click on 66 and you can download or print the PDF file.
Bus leaves from the airport only once per hour at 20 minutes past the hour (and it leaves strictly on time!). Once in Arrivals take the escalator upstairs, take a right to the exit and then again a right once you're outside. Bus 66 (Faro de Maspalomas) stops at the second to last bus stop. Costs are €3.50. There is a ticket machine, but you don't need to use it. You can buy a ticket in the bus from the driver, which I believe is even cheaper than the one from the machine.
Comment by janda on June 14, 2012 at 10:11 Re: airport transfers to pdi - the 66 bus leaves from outside arrivals and costs around 4 euros - also Viajes Urbis has a shuttle transfer to your hotel and costs around 6 euros return - their office is located directly to the left when you come out of baggage reclaim in the main arrivals hall its marked Viajes Urbis 26 - otherwise a taxi will cost around 40 euros
Comment by tim murphy on June 5, 2012 at 21:04 Hi Guys, Just booked a two week holiday in Playa del Ingles in September 2012. In these hard times I would appreciate any advice on airport transfers.
