wishes

Started by Vincent on Wednesday. 0 Replies

Put three candles in the highest place you have at home, inside a plate with sugar all around the candles. Light the candles. Ask for three wishes to the angels ST. RAFAEL, ST. MICHAEL, and ST. GABRIEL. Ask one wish for business, one wish for love, and one impossible wish. Publish this spell on the third day after you requested the wishes (by mailing it to another person, posting it to a usenet newsgroup, or announcing your thanks to the saints in a newspaper classified ad) and see what happens…Continue

Are we allowed to age?

Started by Tim. Last reply by Jeffrey A Fallert on Monday. 4 Replies

That's the question being posed in the first Real Talk forum organised by the
San Francisco AIDS Foundation and STOP AIDS Project .
In a culture that often idolizes youth, are gay men allowed to age? Are you anxious about getting older, or do you love life more with each passing year?  Those are the questions they'll be asking those attending....what do you think?Continue

Retirment village/commune,etc for the LGT community.

Started by Dennis The Menace. Last reply by Dennis The Menace May 4. 16 Replies

Im interested in the concept of later in life sharing a location /propery with a number of like minded LGT friends.This would be a low cost operation, "non commercial" suitable for able bodied and finiancially self supporting  responsable persons who will all contribute.It will not be a nursing home so  location would ideally be close to shopping and medical facilities.Location or country unknown at this stage,but I would imagine Australia,or any country that allows retirment visas for…Continue

@Jeff

See the reviews of Cosmos Tours on Lonely Planet here

Cosmos is part of Globus and offers less expensive tours. To keep the costs down, hotels are usually further away from city centres. If you are willing to pay a bit more for a first class tour, check out the tours offered by Globus.

Also the Cosmos tours are mainly used by Seniors - not that there's anything wrong with that but just so you know.

You might want to check out Contiki - its customers are 18-35 year-olds, not the Centrum Silver crowd. Plus Contiki isn't dominated by Americans. Its tours include a LOT of Australians and a good number of Canadians. With all the Aussies on board, you'll learn to speak another language. The tours also include the occasional Brit, South African, New Zealander and/or European who's English is better than your ability in whatever language you took in high school.

The tours are not necessarily partypartyparty and the single-country tours are more sedate than the 20 country/50 night cross-Europe extravaganzas.

Always Google "<product name> review" to get a second opinion or "<product name> review forum"  to get some user opinions on a forum.

hi Paul and thanks...
the whole trip will be about 4 weeks -- both Portugal and Spain are definite... still finalising the other cities/countries... dont want to travel to too much cities/countries as i do not want to rush when i travel to a different country...  of course i will do the tourist site and traps during the day, and the gay sites afterwards... : )

have you heard of cosmos tours? i think they have good tours:

GEMS-OF-ITALY--FRANCE-AND-SPAIN  (Aud $2303/pp - all inclusive)

http://www.cosmostours.com.au/2012/our-tours/Europe/France-Iberian-...

JEWELS-OF-SPAIN-AND-PORTUGAL (Aud $1084/pp - all inclusive)

http://www.cosmostours.com.au/2012/our-tours/Europe/France-Iberian-...

THE-BEST-OF-SPAIN-AND-PORTUGAL (Aud $1401/pp - all inclusive)

http://www.cosmostours.com.au/2012/our-tours/Europe/France-Iberian-...

what do you think?

@Jeff

Without knowing what airline programs you are in, which cities you want to visit and how you plan to get from one country to the next (fly,train, drive?) it's difficult to be specific.

However, I suggest you start with Kayak.com and Webjet for the long-haul segment of your trip.

If flying between countries use Skyscanner.net to search the low-cost airlines for short-haul flights.

I would consider getting the best deal you can into a European hub and then use the low-cost airlines for inter-country flights, high-speed trains (esp France) or car rental - although one-way rentals are very expensive. If starting in France, you can lease a car short-term from Renault which can be cheaper than renting - although you have to return it in France.

Also there are some cheap flights on Korean and Chinese airlines (Air Asia, Air China) but you do get an overnight hotel layover included.

Hope this helps

Paul
