G'day from Melbourne Australia!

I am excited about my upcoming trip:

• 2013-Sep-06 2013-Sep-16 - Lisboa, Portugal"
• 2013-Sep-16 2013-Sep-27 - Madrid, Spain (Madrid & Barcelona)*
• 2013-Sep-16 2013-Sep-27 - Catalonia, Spain (Madrid & Barcelona)*
• 2013-Sep-28 2013-Oct-07 - Ile-de-France, France (Paris & surrounds)^

At this stage, I am finalising the dates and lengths of stays in each of the places above. 

I would like to connect with people in the cities above, as well as hear some suggestions on accommodations that are safe, secure, in the midst of actions, and not too expensive. Or if you have used, or know someone who has, a local travel agency (reputable, with cred and reference) that can help plan my trip (acomms, transpo, etc) that would be great.

I will be travelling with a mate.  And we have a mate (and his partner) who will be showing us around and billeting us in Lisbon.  Happy to still meet and catch up with a few locals! ; )

Here's looking forward to meeting new people and experiencing new adventures!

I am Japanese pursuing my PhD degree in Brazil, I am coming to Paris to take a 70 days course and I'd like to know if you or a friend of yours has a guestroom or a studio to rent in Paris. My budget is about 1000euros a month just for the renting

A friend an I will be in Paris from the 19th to 26th of Sept where we will be renting a 2 bedroom place. On the 26 we will be renting an auto and want to take a week to travel down to Barcelona. I am not sure if i should go souteast or south west and then down to Barcelona. Does anyone have any insight of what route would be best. I love to take pictures so I know that any route I take will be wonderful for picture taking. We are very excited to start this journey.
