Jan has not received any gifts yet
Flying into Shanghai on the 24th until the 30th. Then (trying to understand the train system) onto Beijing from the 30th to the 4th. I will be there with my partner. We seem to hit a snag regarding trains on the 4th back to Shanghai due to the Qingming (Tomb Cleaning) Festival.
If anyone could shed some light on the trains, would be appreciated.
How long is your stay in both places, Jani?
Jude Rene' Montarsi said… You seem to be already "well travelled." Go to China and do not worry about travelling alone. Travelling alone brings incredible rewards. You are freer to enjoy spontaneous opportunities that arise withoug having to consult a travelling companion. Keep your eyes open, as you would anywhere in the world. That is just "common sense" advice. My hunch is that you will have a fabulous time in China; you will make wonderful friends in a short time, and discover the wonderful hospitality of people of Asia. I wish I could go with you, but it's better "to go it alone." For those of us who are too old too travel now, write to us here of your experiences. Bon Voyage! Oh, and when you return, I'll accept if you propose marriage! LOL Jude
