About Me/Us

PhD, retired university professor, amateur historian (local history). Most of my friends would say I have an easy-going personality. I generally listen more than I talk, and my friends are the same way. I am neither a Democrat or a Republican but am down on Republicans at the moment. The quality of a person’s voice is extremely important. I do not do well with loud people or with inarticulate people. I'm very experienced in relationships. I have had one very long-term relationship. Some of my favorite activities are travel, eating a good meal at home, reading. I like being with one person most of the time, especially when I'm getting to know someone. I enjoy listening to classical music. I handle solitude well and expect the same quality in others.
