"Hi Scott, his room was 11701 I think, which is far from the end of the ship and water.  What an incredible experience that cruise was for me.  I had two friends along for their first gay cruise and for one of them their first ever cruise."

About Me/Us
I'm a nurse anesthetist who spends half time here in White Salmon and the other in Portland, OR. I have been "OUT" since July 2003. Married 34 years to a wonderful woman who is now happily married to a good man who supplies her needs. My gay son came out five years before me and helped her to be an advocate for glbt issues. They all attend my Portland Gay Men's Chorus concerts in which I sing second bass. I love to travel, cruise, check out new cities and locations for the fun of it. I'm into good health, vegetarian, not a smoker, drinker or into drugs I'm 60 going on 41. :-) I'm working on losing some unwanted pounds and have set a goal to be at least 25 pounds lighter by June. I'm interested in meeting a guy with mutual interests and ideals and hope something could come of it some day soon. It sucks being alone! :-(

I know folks at Chapala but is not for me. Too many gringos and not enough local Mexican culture. I came to live with my new people, not the ones I left stateside! Keep me informed. Have not see Luke in ages. Maybe he took off somewhere. We really have no communication.

Hola T~

I think the trip by car is a bit less than 5 hours. I took a bus last June but did not time it. Pretty drive daytime, lots to see. Night can be scary as sooooo dark. TDay in SF features many places for the turkey dinner. I am going with friends to San Sebastian in the S Madre, as we have past 2 years. Owner of Hacienda Jalisco hosts a bash for maybe 40-50 people on their land. Partial potluck where you bring one dish but Joe pit-roasts turkeys and the chef makes huge bowls of the accompaniments. Great fun and mariachi, too. Some bars may have fiestas. I do not drink so do not partake. Prefer being with amigos. Starting to pick up here and we await the PanAmer Games 10/16, big deal for PV.

Hi Terry,  yes if you have the interior balcony's you can see in the opposite rooms, and many don't use the curtains so little is left to the imagination,  the nice thing about the boardwalk rooms is a nice view of the Aqua Theater which is the venue for the afternoon T-Dances,  I'm sure you have seen some of the pictures from last year,  if not just google Atlantis Allure Cruise.  Hope to meet you on board.

Terry, I believe that I know who you mean but never met. He has a blond crewcut and a Latin bf? He rents here, I believe from Brian. I live in another tower, same complex, full-time.

Hi Terry! If you add the Portland Gay Men's Chorus info you posted in the New York group in our Events section, it may well end up being featured that week.

Hi Terry! Finally, I got a chance to return and hopefully I'll be able to make some updates to my page.

True, 60+ is a bit ambiguous. lol...I turned 60 last October 6 and am still trying to get used to this era in my life. Big changes this past year for example. I retired! It's a whole new life in a way that I'm just beginning to discover.  Ah, Portland...! In the mid-80s I had to attend a conference in your wonderful city. It was springtime and a few of us went on a tour of all the gorgeous estates with their robust gardens...simiply beautiful! Then, of course, I did drive up Mount Hood dressed as any gay New Yorker would dress for such in occasion; Ralph Lauren shorts, shirts, and the requisite army boots! It was an absolutely gorgeous day as we began our abscent and paid no heedance to the flashing signs suggesting everyone stop and put chains on their tires!! Ah! What a blizzard it was!!! How we ever made it to the lodge, I don't remember. We arrived there, but trying to find the entrance was another story. finally we did, all of our body parts <even the fun ones> were frozen. And all I remember was hearing someone yell from across the room, "The New Yorkers have finally entered the building!" There are so many other fond memories of Portland...simply put, that was not my last trip to your city! I've returned many times since.

Hello Terry,
I guess by now you know I live in Sydney Australia.Yes I agree with you it's such a sad pity we live so far from each other on the opposite side of the globe actually.I find at times very difficult to be GAY & Christian.I use to go to an MCC congregation, but not anymore as I don't find them to be a welcoming congregation at all.We have three MCC congregations in Sydney & none of them do a thing for me.I instead attend Two different Uniting Church congregations, one Sunday morning & one Sunday evening. If you would like to keep in contact with me,do so by IMessaging me at:ian_3_bayly@hotmail.com with msn live messenger.I trust we can chat together sometime & bye for now. From Ian Bayly.

Hi Terry. The cruise was fantastic, even better than last year.

I have never been to Florida or Palm Springs before but booked to Miami for December. A bit lost as to where to head for but will get that sorted in the next couple of weeks.

Sadly not seen Mardi Gras in Sydney, though I hear very good things about it.

I was married too! Very good friends wth my ex and she is still one of the most important people in my life.

Good to hear from you
