places to go, people to meet
A Christian group offering ‘therapy’ sessions for lesbian and gay people are touring the world to ‘cure’ people of their sexuality. The extremist religious group ‘Desert Stream’ charges up to £525 to teach gay and lesbian people how to hate themselves and stifle their sexuality. These practices cause psychological damage, to the point where many people involved turn to self-harm or suicide.
The equality movement All Out has launched a petition to try and stop the anti-gay group running the workshop in Britain.
In Argentina, a scheduled ‘cure’ session was shut down when the All Out campaign made national news. All Out are now hoping they can repeat this success in the UK with their petition to stop the ‘Desert Stream’ workshop going ahead in London this Sunday.
If you wish to help put and end to this perverse group peddling their dangerous and damaging "cure", please sign All Out's petition here.
